Physical and chemical properties: UvitexOB is a pure optical brightener, used for various special purposes. It does not contain fillers, has a greenish-yellow appearance, is odorless, and has a melting point of 200~
202 ℃ and decomposition temperature greater than 220 ℃, soluble in water, soluble in many organic solvents, solubility (g / 100 ml solvent, 25 ℃) : methanol, ethanol, toluene 0.09 5.3 0.04 1.3 0.5, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, dioxane 2.9, 5.9 dimethyl formamide 0.8. Uvitex ob-c is 10% Uvitex OB mixed with chalk. It has a yellow appearance and is mainly used in opaque PVC plastics.
Uvitex ob-p is 10% UvitexOB doped plasticizer dicyclohexyl phthalate. Appearance of yellow powder, it is mainly used for plasticizing PVC.
Usage: this product can be used for whitening and brightening thermoplastics, such as PVC, PF, PP, PS, ABS, SAN, SB, CA, PA, PMMA, etc. Good heat and light resistance. Also used for part of the fiber, paint, paint, high-grade paper, ink whitening or as security marks.
Usage: the optical brightener OB is used for the polymer brightener in each processing stage. Mix the brightener OB with all kinds of plastic particles at 0.01%~0.05% of the weight of plastic, and then conduct molding processing. For example, the product is added before extruding polyvinyl chloride, acetate fiber and triacetate fiber; Polyester is colored by the original pulp or mixed with the polypropylene masterbatch.
The optical brightener OB can be used with dye to produce special brightness, which is especially effective in color formulation.
Due to the low amount of optical brightener, it should be completely dispersed throughout the polymer. If any uv absorber is added to the polymer, the optimal dosage of OB should be adjusted appropriately.
Dosage: PVC white is 0.01%~0.05%, transparent is 0.0001%~
0.001%; PS white is about 0.001%, transparent is 0.0001%~0.001%; The color of ABS is 0.01%~0.05%, while the color of ABS is 0.01%~0.05%. PE and PP are colorless
0.0005%~0.001%, white is 0.005%~0.05%.
